THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO CAME OUT.
Hoping to share your poetry or written work with a wider audience? Want the thrill and experience of reading your work out loud? Just interested in checking out the creative projects at UTSC? ARTSIDEOUT in partnership with Scarborough Fair will be hosting an Open Mic event for students and local artists to showcase their written work. For those of you interested, bring your poems, songs, stories, monologues etc. and share them! Bring your friends too so they can take part in the fun!
The event is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 6 2016 at 12:00-1:00pm at the UTSC Quad area. The Quad area is located between the AA (Arts & Administration) Building and the SW (Science Wing) Building outdoors, by the tables and chairs. Come check us out!
Come join us on FEBRUARY 25TH at 7PM on campus at the University of Toronto Scarborough in the Ralph Campbell Lounge, to celebrate the release of the 2015 edition of Scarborough Fair magazine with an evening of poetry, prose and provisions.
This year's launch is all about celebrating and expanding the amazing community of artists that UTSC has cultivated.
We encourage you to invite your friends, your family, your enemies, random strangers you pass on the streets, that person you've wanted to get to know for a while but have been too afraid to ask, and let’s enjoy a night of creative camaraderie.
Look for SCARBOROUGH FAIR on stands in February!
Emerging Voices is a free creative writing conference hosted by The Students of English Literature & Film (SELF) at the University of Toronto Scarborough in partnership with the Toronto Public Library. Taking place at the Toronto Reference Library’s premiere Bram and Bluma Appel Salon, this conference will provide students with the opportunity to meet and interact with a variety of professionals and students from all over Toronto.
We're working together to put together a writer workshop to help new writers and give feedback to anyone thinking of submitting their work for Scarborough Fair 2014-2015.
More information to come. Follow us on facebook to keep up with everything as it happens.
Recently we received a large donation of gently used books and on October 9th we're going to be hanging out in front of the Doris McCarthy Gallery, chatting about some of our favourites and raising money for some of our upcoming events.
Some of our editors are going to be hanging out at our table, so come by and say 'hi'. We all love talking about books, writing, art, and all that fun stuff.
The Launch of the 2014 edition of Scarborough Fair. There will be food, drinks, people, and readings. Please come!
