Poetry

Come away with me

Kevin Connery

Victoria Loder

Come away with me

Build paper lanterns by the firelight

Let them float into the stars and become one with the maroon

Come away with me

Half a tank of gas and a ripped road map

Let us follow the sun on roads we don’t really know

Come away with me

Put our feet in both sides of the ocean

Surf in the sea-foam and collect moon-shells on the beach

Come away with me

Marry in a church, or in a field

I don’t really care, as long as you say yes

Come away with me

Head towards the horizon, always following the light

That way we can never get lost
